Stichting JazzVIP
The JazzVIP Foundation is committed to promoting Dutch improvised music and contemporary jazz. The foundation is affiliated with the VNJJ, with the goal of fundraising and realizing collaborative projects such as talent programs, including the successor to the Young VIP Tour, The Records on Tour. Its activities strengthen the Dutch jazz ecosystem (venues, festivals), the careers of (young) creators, and the visibility of the genre among a wide audience.
Board
The board of the JazzVIP Foundation works on a voluntary basis and consists of the following three members:
- Robert Soomer (voorzitter) - robertsoomer@mo.nl
- Frank van Berkel (penningmeester) - frank@bimhuis.nl
- Tineke Postma (secretaris) - tjpostma@gmail.com
Key points of the policy plan
The JazzVIP Foundation acts as an executive body, organizing projects in the broadest sense that contribute to the aforementioned mission. Its activities strengthen the Dutch jazz ecosystem (venues, festivals), the careers of (young) creators, and the visibility of the genre among a wide audience.
The projects are supported by the members of the association, allowing the network to be fully utilized. The JazzVIP Foundation seeks external funding for these projects, collaborates with VNJJ members, and works with other cultural funds. The JazzVIP Foundation has an independent, voluntary board and no staff. The foundation makes its own artistic decisions, but does so in consultation with the association.
