Young Vips
Vereniging van Jazz- en Improvisatiemuziek Podia (VIP) & JazzVip
The Young VIPs Tour was, until 2019, an initiative of the Association of Jazz and Improvised Music Venues (VIP), a collaboration between 25 Dutch jazz venues. Since 1997, young jazz talents were given the opportunity to tour across the Netherlands, gain valuable experience, and showcase themselves to a wider audience.
Each year, programmers from the country’s leading jazz venues selected the most promising young talents — artists who not only excelled as performers but also composed their own music. These talents were invited to tour as Young VIPs. In 2020, the Young VIP tour was renamed ’The Records on Tour’ a collaboration between VNJJ (with support from the JazzVIP Foundation) and Keep an Eye The Records (Keep an Eye Foundation).
